The Platte-Geddes School District seeks to have each person reach his or her personal potential and recognize the dignity and worth of others.  Education must provide the leadership, tools, and knowledge necessary to develop constructive ideals, attitudes, life skills, and aesthetic values characteristic of responsible citizens.  This district will treat each individual fairly, regardless of race, religion, sex, or abilities.

The function of the Platte-Geddes School District is to provide students with worthwhile educational experiences in an ever-changing global world.  Through a comprehensive, balanced curriculum and co-curriculum, the school seeks to promote and develop the awareness that learning is a life-long process.  The school strives to promote knowledge, life skills, values, and goal setting through learning experiences, and instill in the students their responsibility for reaching their full potential.  The respect for the rights of others, authority, property, and laws are fundamental to our society.

The Platte-Geddes School District seeks to stimulate the student to develop critical and original thinking skills, self-confidence, and self-respect in an ever-changing environment.  The district encourages self-discipline, honesty, fairness, and responsibility.  The district will promote the value of personal wellness and self-esteem.

Because learning is a life-long process, we need to be aware of current trends and changing technology that might enhance learning.  Communication with and involving the community, parents, teachers, students, administrators, and board of education is essential for a successful learning environment.
