It is finally beginning to feel the spring! The warmer weather means that the summer renovations and the constructing of the secured entrance at the elementary school will begin soon. The contractors would like to begin to groundwork for the secured entrance, which will be attached to the southwest corner of the elementary this week. Once the work begins, the construction area will be fenced off and the southwest entrance will no longer be accessible. Everyone who wishes to enter the elementary building will be required to use the northeast entrance.
Although the construction area will be fenced off, we ask that during student drop off/pick up you have your student use the gate within the chain link fence that borders the west side of the playground or use the northeast entrance. Students using the northeast entrance will walk directly through the multipurpose room gym and use the southwest double doors that lead to the playground. These doors are used for all students during lunch recess so they should be familiar with the process.
The blue rectangle below identifies the construction area, and the blue arrow identifies the playground entrance the students should use. There is a drop off area that runs parallel to the playground that includes a four-foot section for the students to walk safely and enter through the gate.
We will do our part to provide constant reminders to the students to stay far away from the construction area. Please, assist us in this process with a few additional reminders.
