Due to the pending winter storm, Platte-Geddes Schools will open at 10AM on Monday, January 8. There is no school for Half-Day Kindergarten students. The Geddes bus will leave promptly at 9:15. No breakfast will be served.
The January School Board meeting will still take place at 7AM in the high school board room.

Our second graders and fifth graders had a special visit this week from Sergeant Lantz, Sergeant Monger, and their canine Dax. Thank you for visiting and for bringing Dax to see the kiddos.
Our second graders finished their Christmas Around the World Unit with guest speaker, Iris Huezo, who grew up in Mexico. The kids had many great questions for her and she was a very informational speaker. Thank you for coming to Platte-Geddes Elementary, Iris!
Festive Sweater Day was a hit at school!! The kids looked great! The upper elementary kids also enjoyed a lunchroom visit from former Ohio State FB player (and cousin to Maisey Suits) Kamryn Babb. He joined us for a few photos so please show them to your kids.

Attention Black Panther Fans, due to low numbers for Gregory, the girls JV basketball game Friday @6:30 PM will consist of two 8 minute quarters. The Varsity game will follow. This means the Varsity game will start earlier than normal.

The "Good News Call" today is going out to Noah Pokorny. Noah received the Good News Call for being a responsible learner, listening to his teachers, taking care of his personal items and for doing great on his schoolwork. Noah always has his work done for class and he asks his teachers for help when needed.
Noah comes to school with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. Thanks, Noah, for modeling the Panther Way Expectation of responsibility.
Maverick Maydew was nominated for the "Good News Call" by a fellow classmate and a parent. The nomination stated that Maverick is a "kind and thoughtful friend to others". Maverick notices small and large "KIND acts" that he can do for others, and he quietly does them. He is just overall a great friend to those around him. He is thoughtful, considerate, responsible, and caring. He looks for ways in his school day to serve those around him and offers to help everyone. Thank you, Maverick, for being a great friend!
