The P-G Athletic Boosters Annual Tailgate & Membership Drive is this Friday (8/23) during the home football opener against Gayville-Volin. They will be serving walking tacos and a drink, starting at 5:30pm. Also make sure to turn in your bids for the sports tower boxes to Dakota Food & Fuel by noon on Friday. Hope to see everyone there!

Just a friendly reminder: Open House will be 3-7PM, Tuesday, August 20th. We are encouraging all students and parents to attend. If a student does not attend, they will not get class schedules or laptops until the first day of school. 6th grade orientation will be @ 5PM, and 9th Grade @ 6PM. Both in the HS Library. Thanks.
Good Afternoon, ALL Middle School and High School students, traditionally, we have had registration the week before school. Due to some unforeseen office delays, and waxing of the floors, the school is going a different route. Tuesday, August 20th from 3-7 PM, there will be a "Back to School kickoff", where all students and parents should come to the school for open house. Students will check out their lockers, computers, and receive their schedules that evening, along with other stations such as Lunch Accounts, band fees, etc. Incoming 6th Graders will have an Orientation at 5pm, and incoming 9th grade will have an orientation at 6pm, both in the HS library. The middle school football meeting location has changed. It will be in the high school library.
The elementary (armory) and high school gyms will be off limits beginning on Wednesday, August 7 and until further notice. They will be resurfacing the wood floors to prepare for the upcoming sports seasons.
Friendly Reminder to all 6th-12th grade student athletes: Please drop on your physical forms at the business office or bring them with you to the Parent/Athlete meetings. Student-athletes will not be able to participate in practice or games until they have completed an athletic physical.
For All 7-12 Band Students: TOMORROW is the First Day of Band Camp (Aug. 7) from 9:00-noon. Please wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Everyone will come at 9:00 and start in the high school music room. If you have NOT checked out your instrument yet, please plan to come at 8:30 to check out your horn. River City Truck Fest is Tommy Biehl’s senior capstone project. The Truck Fest will be held at Ringling Gravel and Construction on the south edge of Platte this Saturday, August 10 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Food vendors, including Platte Locker, Donut Department, and The Ice Shack, will be onsite to offer a variety of food options. Awards and door prizes will be given at 7:30 and a truck cruise down Platte’s main street will start at 8:00 PM. Entrance into the truck meet is a free will donation and all proceeds will benefit the Terry Severson Memorial Fund, which supports veterans' mental health initiatives.

Pad checkout will be August 22nd and our first Practice will be August 27th.
We will provide a helmet, shoulder pads, two jerseys, and two pairs of pants (pads included). Mouth pieces will be for sale at checkout or you can bring your own.
